On this private walking tour around Byblos, you’ll get to know this town’s thousands of years of history. The main focus is the Byblos Archaeological Site, a collection of ruins that, once uncovered in the 19th century, revealed seven layers of civilisations that have inhabited Byblos over thousands of years. You’ll explore this site with a knowledgeable guide, taking a wander up to the top of the Crusader castle, from which you will learn about the many different sections of the ruins you can see from here and how each civilisation built or used them.

The tour continues into the beautiful old souks, to Saint Jean-Marc Church, and out to the attractive harbour. This is generally a half-day excursion, well coupled with some time in Batroun further north or perhaps a winery and tasting in the afternoon.
