Located in Lebanon’s fruitful Bekaa Valley, Kefraya is one of the most prolific wineries in the region. Their vineyards are spread over 300 hectares, in the shadow of Mount Barouk, and the variety of soils here provide different terrain to produce a wide ranges of wines. Kefraya create red, white, rose, sweet and fortified wines, and Lebanese arak, all of which you can try on a visit here. The  winery’s Comte de M is their pièce de résistance, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes, aged in French oak barrels for 24 months.

You can expect a slightly longer tour here than other vineyards in the Bekaa; guests are taken on a trundle in a comfortable trailer pulled by a tractor to head into the heart of the vines. You’ll sample one white and one rose wine as you rumble along, perfect accompaniments to the sunshine, and also stop off at the Roman hypogea which dates back to the third century.
