Owned by the upmarket Relais & Châteaux group, Hotel Albergo is one of the most luxurious hotels in Beirut if you’d rather not stay in one of the gigantic skyscraper hotels. Oriental charm meets high-end hospitality here; there are ornate flourishes all across the property to make guests feel like they’re staying somewhere really special. Each of the 33 suites are individually designed, with plush toiletries (including Molton Brown products and salt scrub from the Dead Sea) in the en suite bathrooms, and even the standard rooms have a small seating area for that bit of extra room.
